A unique area of Amsterdam which has had more than its fair share of problems in the past. An alliance of involved organisations, lead by the Municipality of Amsterdam (De Alliantie), created the Masterplan Zuidoost – a plan to help uplift the neighbourhood and guarantee equal chances for the youth growing up here.
Together with New Amsterdam Film Company, we created an initial website in time for the official signing and approval of the plan by the Mayor of Amsterdam. We introduced a unique, colourful and bold style which reflects the area and its community.
The next phase for the online presence was to create a platform where the community could get involved. Built around the 4 pillars central to the Masterplan: work, education, safety and living.
Local initiatives take center-stage on the platform. Projects, events, requests – all initiated by local players for the local community.
When users create an account, they can save different projects, agenda items and messages for later reference. At a later stage these users can be approached to get more involved in the different aspects surrounding the Masterplan.
